They began their journey 50 years ago today
The minute they looked each others way
Their hearts telling them how life could be
The destiny and future is what they could see
Building a life and family.
Daddy you saw something so beautiful
And feel in love. You saw our mom pure
And innocent. A vision from above.
Mom you spread your arms and said to him
The obstacles the triumphs we will share
And rise above with the strength of God's care.
Mom standing here today and seeing you
Holding us together, giving us your strength
And guiding us along the way.
Like a beautiful rose our family will never wither.
Daddy if there was something we could say to you if
Even for a brief moment in time we'd say
Thank You we Love You and Miss you.
Our Family Chain was never broken, it remains
The same Stronger and holding tight until we meet again.
