Learning to love my skin

I had my second facial today. This time Stephanie did a Glycolic facial, which is more of a deep exfoliator. Another very relaxing experience. Unfortunately I had to come back to the office, so that took away from it a little. I will schedule my appointments later in the day next time, so I can really relax after. My skin feels great, even though I still have some breakouts. I can already tell a different in my face. I don't feel the need to use a concealer because my skin looks healthy. This has made up for some of the extra time I use on toner and moisturizers.

Stephanie did give me some pointers that I think will really help.

1. Don't pick unless you have to. This can cause spreading and make your breakouts worse.
2. Always wash your face after working out, even if you don't think you worked up a sweat. A quick wash followed by moisturizer is fine.
3. You should have a facial every 4-6 weeks, and if that isn't possible, every 3 months at least. The skin is constantly replacing itself and shedding old skin, and the facials will help that process.
4. Those little white bumps some of us get around our eyes are caused by calcium buildup in the pore. Do not try to pop these. A dermatologist can remove them very quickly.
