Another wonderful day at the gym, and more measurements. I have lost another 2 pounds, and decreased by body fat an additional 2%. This puts me at 144 pounds, 23% body fat. I was a little discouraged because I haven't lost as much weight as expected. As I mentioned before, it is really the body fat that is important because of the muscle I'm building. We did an additional measurement today for lean body mass. By doing this, we can calculate how much muscle weight I've gained. According to this, I have lost 8 pounds of fat, and gained 3 pounds of muscle. This made me feel better about the work I'm doing. It's discouraging to get on the scale and not see it drop as much as expected. I don't weigh myself at home for this reason. I have another 7 weeks to go. Peder doesn't expect that I will lose more than 10 pounds during this time. I can handle ending the makeover at 134, as long as my body fat percentage is less than 20 and I can fit my size 7 jeans.
