This morning I did interval training with Andrew at Performance. We did 35 minutes this week. We started with a 10 minute warm-up then 1 minute of jogging. We then did a 3 minute cool-down, the back to jogging for another minute. The workout this week seemed much easier than the first time. I hope this means I am in better shape than before.
After the session, Andrew stretched my legs - which hurt really bad. I was still sore from my leg workout earlier in the week. It didn't bother me as much while I was jogging, but it hurt to stretch.
I want to make sure I keep my smooth skin after my wonderful body treatment at Gadabout. I am using an Intensive Body Smoothing Lotion by Murad every day after my shower. I am also using an Energizing Pomegranate Body Polish in the shower every couple days. The Polish is a intensely exfoliates away dull, uneven skin and delivers hydration and protection. This polish also works as a mild body wash. I'll let you know what I think next week.
This afternoon I had my first body treatment at Gadabout. Emily decided to do a detox treatment since I have been working out and trying to lose weight. As I've mentioned before, I love the relaxing rooms at Gadabout. Emily started with a body scrub to exfoliate my skin. Honestly, this hurt a little.
After the scrub, I took a quick shower and prepared for my seaweed wrap. At first I thought that she was actually going to wrap me in seaweed, but I wasn't so lucky. The seaweed is actually a powder that is mixed with water to create a green paste. It definitely did smell like seaweed.
I was laying on a table covered in plastic while she covered me in this paste. She then covered me in plastic and a sheet. The best part was when the table lowered and I was floating in water. It was the most incredible feeling. I was surprised that I actually took a nap while I was floating and covered in plastic. It was so relaxing. After my 20 minute nap, I rinsed off and went back to the massage room. Emily gave me a massage with a light oil to rehydrate my body. I definitely didn't want to leave. This was my first massage, and now I can't wait to go back.
