Today I worked with Andrew again on intervals. This has gotten much easier over the weeks, even though he is pushing me harder. My legs would start to burn within the first ten minutes, and it wouldn't stop. Now we have increased both the incline and speed, and my legs don't hurt at all. We still do half an hour total. We start with a 5 minute warm-up, then do 6 intervals, and a 5 minute cool-down. The intervals are still at 3 minutes of recovery and 1 minute high intensity. I was feeling great today, and burned just under 300 calories in 30 minutes. Not bad for a quick workout.
