Tanning at Sunmist

My final step was tanning at Sunmist. I have never done this before - and was a little nervous after watching the episode of Friends where this whole process goes bad. :)

You have to exfoliate well before going in for your appointment. You have a private booth, so you can tan nude if you prefer. You put lotion on areas where you don't want to tan, such as your palms and feet. I recommend tanning before getting the pedicure though. After the lotion is applied to areas you don't want to tan, you step into your tanning booth. There are 4 positions for tanning and you walk through each as it sprays you with the tanning solution. This gives you a nice even tan. Just make sure you don't get lotion anywhere that you want to tan because that tan will not take. I ended up with a spot on my thigh we had to touchup. :)

I can't believe the difference being tan makes. I feel thinner just because my skin isn't so white. This also covers some of my broken veins and made me look more toned for my after pictures. Tanning is more maintenance, they recommend once a week.

Peice by Piece - New Clothes!

Now that I have my fresh look from Gadabout I need some new clothes to finish the look. We went over to Piece by Piece, were I tried on new outfits to find out what look we wanted to go for. We decided on professional, which is great for my job. I love the outfits we picked because they are professional, but cutting edge chic. I love this non-traditional look. The jeans from Butz Jeans are so comfortable - and I love the way they make me look. :) I hate having to worry about pocket size when picking out jeans to make sure I have the right look. All of these jeans looked great on. I have a suit by Cop Copine that I love. The skirt is a little longer than I generally buy, but it is so comfortable. The waist is elastic, so I don't have to worry about feeling uncomfortable in my meetings with clients. The jacket is also great. I have broad shoulders, so I usually have a hard time finding jackets that fit well. This one is great - I love this new look.

I now have a few great pieces I can build on - Piece by Piece. :) My plan is to add a new piece every week or two until I have a great wardrobe.

A lot less hair

I think I lost an additional 2 pounds with my new haircut. Britney wanted a look that was professional yet easy to maintain. The entire cut was done with a razor, which I had never seen before. After the cut she did caramel highlights and an all over color in my natural brown. These colors will be easy to maintain because my roots won't be as obvious as it grows out. I would love to go blond just to see what I would look like, but I can't be in the salon every 2 weeks for maintenance. :)

I was a little worried about the short look, but as soon as Britney started to style it I knew I was going to love it. It is a little longer on the front, and pretty short in the back. It feels so light and healthy! I just hope I can make it look as good as she did when I get home. :)

Makeup Lesson and Application

My hands and feet are beautiful, but my face needs some help. I have always used very little makeup. It usually doesn't last the whole day anyways. :) Stephanie at Gadabout taught me how to use makeup for versatile looks and to reveal my most beautiful features. She showed me how to recreate my new looks at home. I think I can handle this. My biggest concern is lipstick - I just don't use it. I know that I look better when I do, I just can't keep it on. I'm sure with practice I can stop licking my lips so much so it will last longer. Overall I am very happy with the look she created - I feel beautiful - and I don't have those red streaks across my cheeks anymore. :)

Manicure and Pedicure at Gadabout

My makeover at Gadabout started with a manicure and pedicure. We did a warm lotion manicure and massage - which always feels wonderful. I chose to go with a natural color for maintenance purposes. After the manicure I had a Custom Pedicure. I am so rough on my feet - I hate wearing shoes. This pedicure is customized to remove that tough outer layer on the sole and reveal soft, revitalized skin. I had a foot massage with select creams and the balms seal in moisture - my feet are gorgeous and glowing. I will definitely keep this up, with my manicure and pedicure every 4-6 weeks, especially during the summer when I am wearing all my sandals. :)

My final body measurements

I just finished my last meeting with Peder at Performance Fitness. We started out with my final measurements, which made me very nervous. I didn't lose as much as I had hoped, but I am happy with the results given that it has only been 10 weeks since my first workout.

Weight: 137
Body Fat: 20%
Pant Size: 7

I will continue to workout 2 days at week at Performance on weight training. I will also be doing 3-4 days of cardio, walking around the park by my house. I now have a secondary goal of losing an additional 10 pounds before summer so that I can wear my bathing suit comfortably. I think that if I continue working out on my own I will be in good shape by summer.

Final day, Part 1

Today is going to be a crazy day. I start out this morning with a meeting with Sandy. Today we will finish our discussion on Commitment and Trust. I know that these are big issues for me, so I can't wait for this. After this meeting I head over to Performance, then I'm off to Gadabout for the final steps in the makeover. After I have my new look, I head over to Piece by Piece for my wardrobe makeover - this is going to be so much fun.
