Event Description:
Emerge! will be presenting its seasonal Holiday
House program December 14 19, 2009.
Families who experience abuse often associate the
holidays with stress, danger, increased abuse, and
constant fear. Our Holiday House program helps
provide these families their first safe holiday in a
long
time.
Holiday House is like a retail store, but everything is
FREE. Emerge! program participants visit Holiday
House to shop for gifts for their family members.
After theyve selected their items, the gifts are
wrapped on the spot to preserve the element of
surprise. This is a very special program that means
so
much to those who benefit from it.
Holiday House program donations are being
accepted now. Donators can deliver new,
unwrapped gifts to
the Lipsey Center, 2545 E Adams Street, from 10:00
am to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday, from now until
December 11. Donators can also donate their time
as volunteers are always needed.
Please go to Emerge!s website at
www.emergecenter.org for more details.
If you are looking for a meaningful way to
contribute your time and energy during the holiday
season,
