Event Description:
KGUN 9 On Your Side, Sam Levitz Furniture and
SunTran are teaming up to help Pima Council on
Aging collect new personal care and safety items
for homebound elderly women and men in need
during this holiday season.
FOR ONLINE:
KGUN 9 On Your Side and PCOA staff and
volunteers will be
collecting new items to Stuff the Bus.
While the economic recession has made it more
difficult for
many to meet their basic needs, the problem is
deeper for the
elderly and those with disabilities. Many are
unable to shop for
those basic items the rest of us take for granted,
much less pay
for them.
All of these items cannot be
purchased with Food Stamps. Yet, these very basic
necessities
are critically needed by economically
disadvantaged and socially isolated elders living in
our
community.
Personal Care Shopping List
Please consider purchasing one or more of these
items for the
2009 Stuff the Bus donation drive.

Event Description:
Sentinels consists of a recent series of mixed media
drawings in which Bliss employs a playful visual
language to speak to grave ecological, and other,
concerns. Menageries of bandaged deer, rabbits,
ostriches, and birds balance in odd clusters in
ephemeral habitats. Classifications and alliances are
confused in the absence of definable place and
natural
order.
