Using Forster’s prescient masterpiece as a point of reference, the portfolio explores relationships between humanity and the technological world that is increasingly encompassing it. It showcases traditional hand lithography as a central medium while incorporating other such processes that accommodate the theme. The portfolio was organized by UA professor Andrew Polk and Kathryn Polk. Museum Hours: Tuesday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm, Saturday and Sunday Noon – 4 pm. Closed Mondays and University Holidays Admission: $5 Adults. Free: Children, Museum members, UA, faculty, staff and students Call or visit the Museum's website at: artmuseum.Arizona.edu.

Event Description:
The Edge of the Sea of Cortez with Betty Hupp & Marilyn Malone. The authors of The Edge of the Sea of Cortez, A Tidewalker's Guide to the Upper Gulf of California, whose first tidepool adventure was courtesy of Tucson Audubon's Tidepool Institute, will take you tide-walking on rocky, sandy and muddy shores in search of seaside critters. They will show you some of the habits and habitats of beach creatures in general, with up-close-and-personal peeks into their their intertidal homes. Paraphrasing Peggy Turk Boyer, Executive Director, CEDO, Intercultural Center for the Study of Deserts & Oceans: “It is a rare beach walker on the edge of the Sea of Cortez who has not been captivated and mystified by the strange creatures slipping under rocks or burrowing into the sand and mud underfoot. Marilyn and Betty combine art and science [in this presentation] for the curious naturalist in each of us.”
