Event Description:
Desert Artisans' cooperative gallery is presenting, "Blue Sky Essence," an art exhibit of new works by their Tucson Artists. The exhibition runs from September 15th - December 6th. Artwork by David Brown, Joan Fimbel DiGiovanni, Paddie Flaherty, Darlene LeClair, Gretchen Huff and Tad Lamb will be featured. The Gallery is open 7 days a week: 10- 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.- 1:30pm. Sunday.

Event Description:
A survey of more than 100 photographs by famed landscape photographer Ansel Adams (1902-1984), this exhibition is a tribute to one of the 20th century’s most admired artists. Many of Adams’ most famous images are included and presented in the more intimate scale he intended them to be viewed. The works were originally printed by the artist himself in his California darkroom and given to The Friends of Photography to represent his legacy.

Serena’s paintings are accumulations of the stories she has heard and experienced in her life; stories that articulate love and heartache found in our everyday experiences. She creates personal narratives filled with lonely trees, animal caretakers, comfort foods, and bittersweet emotions of childhood. As a new mother, her recent work explores life though a child's eyes, capturing their vulnerability and curiosity. This exhibition runs Thursday, October 22, 2009 - January 22, 2010 Artist’s Talk (Open to the public - RSVP requested) Friday, January 22, 2010, 10:30 am – 12:00 pm This collaborative show highlights the relationship between still photographer Hilary Bronwyn Gayle and filmmaker Patrick Roddy in a traditional fine art setting. This exhibition blends Gayle's film stills and behind the scenes photographs, alongside video clips from Roddy's three feature films; Mercy (2005), Red 71 (2007), and Good Boy (2008).
