Green Valley, Arizona

Located 25 miles south of Tucson in the Sonoran desert, the retirement community of Green Valley sits in the Santa Cruz River Valley near the Santa Rita Mountains. Historically, the town was the scene of major cattle drives -- some led by Bill Kirkland, one of Arizona's best known pioneers. Today, the 8-mile long community is populated by 25,000 residents. Nearby attractions include 7 golf courses, Fred Lawrence Whipple Observatory and Madera Canyon.
